The EBMX X9000 V3 replaces the stock controller in the Sur-Ron Light Bee and takes the factory power limit off the bike. A platform with headroom to 50 kW, EBMX's own VESC firmware, and full tuning of the power delivery from your phone — from a mild city mode to track settings.

What it fits

This version comes with a harness made for the Sur-Ron Light Bee.

  • Bike: Sur-Ron Light Bee (LBX / LBS / L1E)
  • Stock motor: yes, works once connected
  • EBMX motors: XLB, XUB and XTA series
  • Other motors: KO Motors, QS138, QS165, Sotion, Eride, Rerode — maps for over 30 motors loaded at the factory
  • Sensors: Hall and encoder support, with no rewiring or harness modification

Got a different model? The same unit with a harness for the Sur-Ron Ultra Bee, Talaria Sting / MX4 / MX5, Talaria XXX or E-Ride Pro SS.

Specifications

  • Peak power: 50 kW
  • Phase current: 1000 A, 1600 A in boost mode
  • Transistors: 30 × Infineon 12 V MOSFETs
  • Board: multi-layer PCB with CNC-milled copper busbars — heat dissipation under sustained load
  • Inputs/outputs: 68
  • Firmware: EBMX's own VESC build with FOC (Field-Oriented Control)
  • Updates: OTA through the XSeries app

What it actually changes in the riding

  • 6 configurable power levels across Race and Street modes — one bike for you, another for whoever you lend it to
  • Built-in IMU with wheelie assist: programmable launch control, anti-loop or stunt mode
  • EBMX E-Clutch and regen braking adjustment from a graphical interface
  • "Load & Go" battery profiles — over 15 ready presets, no typing parameters in by hand
  • Dual Hall throttle — two independent ADC inputs; the controller compares the signals and cuts power if they diverge

Before you buy — what to know

The controller alone won't turn a Light Bee into a 50 kW machine. The X9000 V3 can deliver that, but the rest of the bike limits it:

  • The battery has to be able to give up the current — the stock Light Bee cells won't keep up with higher settings
  • The drive — the stock belt starts skipping at stronger settings; the real fix is a Warp Drive chain conversion
  • The brakes — with a markedly higher top speed, the stock setup becomes the bottleneck

Start at lower power settings and raise them as you strengthen the rest of the bike. Not sure what your bike will take? Message us before buying and we'll go through the configuration together.

What usually goes with it

The controller is ready for the upcoming EBMX modules — Track Module and DC-DC.

Controller comparison: TC500 vs TC1000 vs X9000 V3.
