Controllers for e-moto

The controller is where a real power increase on a Sur-Ron, Talaria or E-Ride begins. The stock unit limits current long before the motor would — swapping the controller alone, without touching the rest of the drivetrain, can double the output. We stock Torp TC500 2.X and TC1000 2.X, plus the EBMX X9000 V3 in versions with a model-specific harness. Everything ships from our warehouse in Poland.

Fitting without cutting or soldering

Every controller in this collection plugs into the bike's factory harness. The harness is model-specific — so at checkout you pick the version for your bike, not a universal one. If you are unsure which one suits your model year, message us before buying.

What a controller demands from the rest of the bike

A stronger controller moves the bottleneck further along; it does not remove it. Once you go higher, three things matter:

  • The battery. Torp TC500 and TC1000 support packs up to 80 V. The pack has to deliver the current the controller asks for, or the BMS will cut power under load.
  • Drivetrain and brakes. From 30 kW upwards the stock belt and brakes stop being enough. See Warp 9 chain drives.
  • Wheels and suspension. Full torque from zero loads a stock wheel harder than a combustion engine does. See e-moto wheels and suspension.

Frequently asked questions

Is a controller alone enough for more power?

On the stock motor, yes — the Torp TC1000 2.X gives 19 kW with no motor swap, and the TC500 up to 27 kW in its range. Only above that does a motor swap make sense, because the motor becomes the limit.

Does fitting require cutting into the harness?

No. The controllers in this collection are plug & play on the factory harness — no cutting, no soldering. The harness is model-specific, so you choose the version when ordering.

What battery does a stronger controller need?

Torp controllers support packs up to 80 V. Above 30 kW what matters is the current the pack can deliver, not voltage alone — a weak BMS will cut out before the controller ever delivers the power.

Torp or EBMX?

Torp is the cheaper entry point with simple app configuration — a sensible choice if you are staying on a Light Bee. The EBMX X9000 V3 brings VESC firmware with FOC, 1000 A and tuning in the XSeries app, and it is the only option for Ultra Bee, Talaria and E-Ride Pro SS.

Will the controller fit without modifications?

Yes, each version is designed for the factory mounting location on its model. For unusual setups — a raised lid, a different pack — send us the model and year and we will confirm before you order.
