EBMX
The EBMX XLB-60 Race Edition is the version built for top speed and high revs. Two things set it apart from the standard XLB-60, and they change everything: a bigger stator (65 mm instead of 60 mm) and a faster winding (105 Kv instead of 95 Kv).
If you spend most of your time in the woods between the trees, the Race will wear you out — this motor wakes up higher. On open terrain and on track it is the other way round.
Those two cooling lines matter more than they look — they tell you how much the motor will take without a break, not for three seconds on a graph. The manufacturer quotes the peak figures at 1200 A and 92 V; in a real setup with a 20S–22S battery and a 400 A BMS you will be running noticeably lower.
Riding an E-Ride Pro? There is a version for that model.
Hall sensors estimate rotor position and usually work up to around 2,000 rpm — above that the motor switches to sensorless mode. An encoder measures the real rotor angle across the whole rev range.
What that gives you when you ride hard: no sudden current spikes when the wheel spins up, under hard braking or when you snap the throttle — so fewer protections kicking in and cutting power mid-run. On top of that, a smoother response and better torque control down low.
These are controller settings, not a motor limit — the motor will take more, but your battery and BMS are what hold you back.
