The manufacturer quotes the peak figures at 1200 A and 92 V — in a real setup with a 20S–22S battery and a 400 A BMS you will be running noticeably lower.

Why an encoder instead of Hall sensors

Hall sensors estimate rotor position and usually work up to around 2,000 rpm, after which the motor switches to sensorless mode. An encoder measures the real rotor angle at every speed. In practice: no sudden current spikes loading up the controller, steadier operation in tough conditions and better torque control in the low range.

Recommended X9000 settings (400 A BMS, 20S–22S)

• 1000 A phase current / 30 kW
• 900 A phase current / 25 kW
• 800 A phase current / 20 kW

These are controller settings, not a motor limit — the motor will take more, but your battery and BMS are what hold you back.
