17-inch Supermoto Custom Wheels for Sur-Ron, Talaria, E-Ride

A 17/17 supermoto wheel set laced only once you order — matched diameters front and rear, rims wider than stock, straight-pull hubs. This is a tarmac setup: a different character from off-road, not “better”, just matched to hard surfaces. You choose the bike model and the tyres.

What it changes

• The bike tips into corners faster — a smaller diameter means less gyroscopic effect. You feel it from the first bend, with nothing to adjust.
• Front-end feel on hard surfaces — a supermoto tyre on a wide rim tells you when the front is starting to go, instead of letting go without warning the way a knobby does on tarmac.
• Stability through faster corners — a matched 17" front and rear give predictable geometry, without the raised front that a 19" wheel brings.
• Rims wider than stock — a larger contact patch and more freedom in choosing tyre width.
• Straight-pull hubs front and rear — the spoke runs in straight, without the elbow at the head. On a conventional hub that elbow is the weakest point of the whole wheel, and that is exactly where cracks appear. On tarmac the side loads are higher than off-road, so wheel stiffness stops being theory.
• You settle the finish with us — every wheel is laced individually for the model, size, tyre and colour, before the build starts.

You pick the model from the list when ordering — the wheels are laced for a specific axle and spacer configuration. Got an Ultra Bee? There is a separate 17" supermoto set for that model, with Mitas SportForce tyres as an option.

Before you order

• These wheels are not held in stock — they are built after you order. About 3 weeks. Got a hard deadline? Write before ordering and we will tell you straight whether we can make it — or take the set that ships from stock, if one is available.
• Tyres are included only if you select them. The No Tyres option is wheels alone — take it if you already have rubber or want a specific tyre.
• This is a road setup. In mud and sand it will be clearly worse than offroad wheels. If you ride both, most people keep a second set rather than looking for a compromise.
• We do not quote offset or maximum tyre width here. On the 16" offroad wheel the offset lets a tyre fit without trimming the swingarm, but for supermoto we will not write anything we cannot confirm for your model. Tell us which tyre you are planning and we will check before you order.
• Wheels change geometry and speedometer readings. Once the diameter changes, the factory speedo is no longer accurate.

Questions people actually ask

Are tyres included in the price?
Depends on the variant. No Tyres is wheels alone. If you pick supermoto/road tyres, they are included in that variant's price and we fit them before shipping.

How long is the wait, really?
About 3 weeks. If you have a specific date by which the wheels must be on the bike, write before ordering.

Custom or ready-made — which should I pick?
As a rule every 17/17 set is built to order, because rim width, tyre and finish are settled for a specific bike. If time matters, we also have a 17" supermoto set ready to ship — standard all-black configuration with road tyres included, for the Light Bee, Falcon and E-Ride Pro 2.0. Stock is limited; once it is gone, the made-to-order version is what remains. Everything else that ships immediately is in wheels in stock.

What tyre width can I fit, and does anything need trimming?
We do not guess. On the 16" offroad wheel the offset is chosen so the tyre fits without trimming the swingarm — on 17" supermoto we will not give that guarantee without knowing your model and the tyre you plan. Tell us what you want to fit and we will confirm before you order.

Can I mix: supermoto at the rear, 19" up front?
You can, but that is no longer supermoto — a 19" front raises the front end and the bike tips into corners more slowly, which is exactly the opposite of what you want on tarmac. For a mixed off-road setup, see the 19/16 offroad wheels made to order.

I have one bike and ride both off-road and on tarmac — which wheels?
Supermoto is a compromise in one direction: it wins on tarmac and loses to any knobby in sand and mud. That is why most people keep two sets and treat swapping wheels as changing the character of the bike.

Do it properly — add to the set

• Warp 9 rear shock guard — roads throw up sand and salt, and a shock shaft does not forgive a scratch; the guard costs a fraction of a rebuild.
• Funn RSX Direct Mount triple clamp — supermoto is ridden seated with weight over the front; the clamp lets you set bar reach and height for that position.
• Warp 9 stem lock — on tarmac the front takes higher side loads, and play in the headstock starts to make itself felt.
