EBMX XUB-80 Motor for Sur-Ron Ultra Bee V2

The EBMX XUB-80 is a motor designed for the Sur-Ron Ultra Bee V2 — 50 kW peak power and a build that takes long loads without overheating. The strongest unit you can put in an Ultra Bee without rebuilding the whole machine.

What it fits

• Other controllers: they will work, but usually need individual tuning

Why an encoder instead of Hall sensors

Hall sensors rely on an estimated rotor position and usually work up to around 2,000 rpm, after which the motor switches to sensorless mode. When the wheel spins up, under hard braking and with quick throttle changes, that leads to big current spikes in the controller — and those end with the protections kicking in and cutting power.

An encoder tracks the real rotor angle at every rotational speed and does it at a higher frequency. The result: a smoother, predictable power delivery, better throttle response, more precise torque control down low and no current spikes loading up the controller.

Before you buy — what you need to know

50 kW is a multiple of what the stock Ultra Bee drive puts out. To use it safely, the bike has to be prepared:

• A battery with high current capability — without one the motor will never show its numbers
• Suspension — the Rfloxa Ultra 43 fork and the RAF55RV shock are made for the Ultra Bee
• Brakes and tyres — with a speed increase like this they are not optional
