A wider rim lets you fit a \u003cstrong\u003efull-size, aggressive motocross tyre\u003c\/strong\u003e, increases the contact patch and lets you run lower pressures without the tyre unseating from the bead.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003ch2\u003eThe straight-pull hub\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOn a conventional hub the spoke is bent into an elbow at the head — and that elbow is the weakest point of the whole wheel. On a straight-pull hub the spoke runs in straight.
